Huang Wei Ling, born in Taiwan, raised and graduated in medicine in Brazil, specialist in infectious and parasitic diseases, a General Practitioner and Parenteral and Enteral Medical Nutrition Therapist. Once in charge of the Hospital Infection Control Service of the City of Franca’s General Hospital, she was responsible for the control of all prescribed antimicrobial medication and received an award for the best paper presented at the Brazilian Hospital Infection Control Congress in 1998. Since 1997, she has been presenting her work worldwide, working with the approach and treatment of all diseases of all systems of the human body in a holistic way, with treatment guided through the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hippocrates.
Dr Sivakumar Joghi Thatha Gowder received his academic training and carried out his research in institutions of high academic ranking in India and United States [University of Madras -Chennai, India; All India Institute of Medical Sciences -New Delhi, India; UT Southwestern Medical Center -Dallas, TX, US; LSH Health Sciences Center, Shreveport, LA, US and University of Pittsburg School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, PA, US]. Sivakumar served as a faculty member at the medical / health sciences universities in United States, Caribbean and Saudi Arabia. Currently, he is working as a faculty member of Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam; consultant for many concerns in foreign nations; director of pharma and education management agencies; and brand ambassador of a corporate sector in India. Sivakumar won prizes and awards in different levels of his academic career. He developed his own methods and techniques relevant to his research disciplines and also in the area of education and published several journal articles and book chapters; and edited and authored several books [Cell Interaction, Toxicity & Drug Testing, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, etc. - European publications]. Currently, he serves as an author and editor of books; editorial member and reviewer for journals; advisory board member of international organizations and external examiner of doctoral thesis work for international universities. He has been elected as a fellow of prestigious international scientific organizations [Fellow - American College of Nutrition (US), Fellow – Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), Fellow-International Society of Biotechnology (India) etc]. Sivakumar has also served as an invited speaker and chairperson for International Conferences.
Dr. Nassiri is hematologist with a fellowship training in Clinical Pharmacology and expertise in Infectious Diseases/Tropical Medicine. He is currently Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and, Family and Community Medicine, lecturer in Global Health, Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, USA. He has served as director of the MSU Institute of International Health and as a former Associate Dean of Global Health. He currently works on global health issues, particularly, antibiotic resistance and viruses without borders. He has made significant contributions in various fields of medical sciences including clinical investigation, health education, and academic medicine. Based on his extensive experience and expertise in chronic infectious diseases including HIV/AIDS and diseases of the tropics, he had previously developed clinical research programs in Brazil, South Africa, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Mexico. He had served as editorial board member for the journal of HIV and AIDS Review. He is currently on editorial board member for AIDS Patient Care and STDs. Prof. Nassiri has delivered seminar presentations on Tropical Medicine, HIV/AIDS, Antibiotic Resistance, deadly viral epidemics and Global Health in numerous national and international conferences and workshops. He is internationally recognized for his work in the areas of building effective international partnerships particularly in global health, community health, clinical care capacity building, clinical workshops, and technical assistance mechanisms. He is the founder of Michigan State University Osteopathic and Primary Health Clinic in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. He has developed academic and research partnership programs with Federal University of Para Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belem, Brazil. His research interests are clinical pharmacology of anti-infective agents, deadly viral epidemics including SARS-Cov-2 (COVID-19), antibiotic resistance, prevention and control of infectious diseases, tropical diseases, community health, global health, and community-based public health interventions. In collaboration with his Brazilian colleagues, he conducts research in the eastern Brazilian Amazon population on incidence and prevalence of HIV, TB, Hepatitis C, HPV, and antimicrobial resistance.
